Hello ;]. It is one thirty in the morning and I cannot sleep, so I decided to tell you guys how my day was yesterday. I took my nieces shopping, we all got those cool visa gift cards and wanted to take advantage of all the after christmas sales.
I am a really smart shopper, at least I try to be ;]. I'm one of those people who if I know I need something I check for coupons or sales before I go buy it. Yes, I know some people may laugh, but it doesn't bother me because at the end of the day I go home with a couple of extra dollars in my pocket. There are certain websites that are a must to check out for awesome coupons, but I'll save that for another blog another day.
Here is what I bought...
Yes, I know what your thinking. HOLLISTER!!! Cute clothes, but sometimes way overpriced. Their jeans normally run from 40 to 60 regularly priced. As for myself I will not pay more than 25 dollars for a pair of jeans, unless they are absolutely AMAZING. I have always wanted a pair of these, but I never really had they guts to pay so much money for them, so when I saw the email from Hollister saying that their jeans were all 50% off for two days I rushed to the store thinking it was too good to be true. Luckily I was wrong, it was true and each of these pairs were only 25 each.
I think people pay more for the brand than the actual quality. I have read some reviews about these jeans and so far most of them have said that there is nothing remarkable about the quality and durability. Still I had to get this urge to own a pair of these before I become two old to wear Hollister ;]. Im normally a 9 in jeans, but I decided to get a 7 for motivation. This offer was only for 2 days, Dec. 26 & 27 IN STORE. They also had 40% off their entire store.
Now enough of my shopping adventures..... Here's the good stuff... :]
So my first review on a brightening/ Lightening product is from the picture above. It is called Light Switch (get it?? haha) The brand is called Natures Gate. Apparently it's organic. I had used this a while back, but thought I'd still share the info anyways. On the front of the bottle it says, " Lemon skin brightening serum for day and night." It's suppose to help uneven skin tone and you are suppose to use it daily. It was meant for face, neck, and hands so I knew it would be safe to use on my underarms.
So lets start with the texture: It's a serum, so I found it to be just that, a serum. It wasn't to oily or thick.
The price: I paid 10 dollars at Tjmaxx, but it can run for 10 to 24 online.
The smell: It was a wonderul, but not over powering lemon scent.
I used this everyday for about a month as a type of moisturizer for my underarms after the shower. Felt great, clean, and cool. Overall though I saw no significant difference and just stopped using it with just a little left in the bottle. Not worth the full price, I honestly thought it would so something since lemon is suppose to naturally lighten your skin. Hoped this helped :]
